Southern Nevada MENSA is a local chapter of American Mensa and serves the southern half of Nevada plus most of Mohave
County
in northwest Arizona. Mensa is an organization for those who score
in the top 2% of the population on a standardized intelligence test.
Members range in age from pre-schooler to centenarian.
According to the Mensa constitution, our purpose is three-fold:
" Identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity
" Encourage research in the nature, characteristics & uses of intelligence
" Provide a stimulating intellectual & social environment for our members
Mensa is for people who like to s t r e t c h their minds, take on mental
challenges and enjoy the interplay of ideas. Members have abundant
opportunities for social interaction with like-minded folks.
Mensa does not have an ”official opinion” on any political, religious,
philosophical or social issue. Opinions expressed on Mensa websites
are those of individual members, none of whom speak for the group.
